Background
Express Text is a well-known platform that allows businesses to efficiently send mass text messages to their customers, promoting sales, events, and distributing coupons to encourage customer loyalty. The redesign project lasted four months, during which the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) were revamped to improve usability and aesthetics, delivering a more user-friendly and intuitive interface.
The Problem
Express Text’s main problem was its outdated design and complex user experience. The platform’s interface was not intuitive, making it difficult for businesses to use efficiently. Additionally, the platform handled a large amount of data, which made it difficult to organize information architecture. Technical barriers were also encountered due to the client’s lack of familiarity with tools like Figma.
The Solution
To address these challenges, the following solutions were implemented: UI Modernization: The interface was updated to refresh the visual appeal of the platform. Navigation Simplification:
The information architecture was reorganized to improve efficiency and make the platform more intuitive.
Low-Fidelity Prototypes: Initial prototypes were developed to stay on track and make informed adjustments from the early stages.
Style Guide: A style guide was created with a multiple color palette to distinguish different functions and data levels, ensuring a clear visual hierarchy and easy navigation.
Responsiveness: The entire Express Text platform was made responsive, ensuring that users could seamlessly manage and send mass text messages across all devices, including desktop, tablet, and mobile.
These improvements resulted in a 31% decrease in average navigation time and a 45% increase in utilization of key platform features.
